Hi Nayana! I recently recommended clay diluted in water for a dog who is having some gastrointestinal problems and the client consulted her vet who told her that is necessary to buy a veterinary use one, which we don’t have in Brazil. Would you tell if there’s actually any difference between a regular clay and the one for vet use and if there are any substances mixed in clays that we should avoid? Thank you!

Hi Luanda, there are some concerns about heavy metals in some clays. But if you are getting from a quality supplier they should be able to guarantee purity. Do you have any clay for internal use in Brazil? If so that would be fine for sure.

Hi Nayana! I’m doing some research about this right now, because I have no idea! In general, the good brands that I know here don’t mention anything about internal use (neither that you can or can’t use it). But I’ll ask some of them directly. Thank you for the info! 🙂
