Share your experiences using essential oils for animals. Please note that our recommendation is that you use the self-selection process as described in the intro course when using aromatics.  Apart from that, please feel free to ask questions, make suggestions and other wise discuss how we can use essential oils, hydrosols and herbs for animal wellness.

Hey Nayana, which Chasetree would you recommend – from berries or leaves or hydrosol? I did read in book about berries, leaves and hydrosol and dont know which one to order 😊. For prostate problems, hormones..

I would go with the one which is easiest for you to get hold of. They are all made from the berries.

Is this for Ost? If so I suggest you wait till the next lesson to make your decision. You will have another tool to help you with this 🙂

I’ve seen amazing changes in dogs using essential oils, especially with anxious dogs. Both effective and healing, and so interesting how self-selection plays a key role in getting it right. What works for one doesn’t always have the same effect for another.

Exactly Amy. Although I have found that a lot of dogs and horses select Angelica, Cedarwood or/and Yarrow. Do you have also have oils that always come back?

Hi Nayana, I’m loving the course, thank you! I wanted to ask you about hydrosols. I make skincare and I have some organic hydrosols at home which are preserved with potassium sorbate (0.15%) and citric acid (0.05%). Would they be ok to use on my young dog or would it be better to use unpreserved hydrosols?

Hi Ninni, glad to hear you are enjoying the course. Best to use unpreserved hydrosols with the animals as the perservatives shift the fragrance profile and taste.

Thank you for your quick reply. That’s what I thought, I will buy some unpreserved ones for her.

I had a wonderful experience with a horse owned by a friend of mine. She had asked me for help because her horse has Sweet itch. Her questionnaire actually revealed very little about emotional side of the horse except that she was adopted and was too skinny upon arrival. Her Chinese element is Metal, with the biggest imbalance on the mild meridian. During the MBA, it came out each time that she did have stress/anxiety and she selected the cedarwood, angelica and yarrow oils for this.

Of course, she was also given a prescription for topical application. Since the selected oils didn’t quite match my shortlist, I wasn’t 100% sure of my choice, but, all three oils were a match, the horse was licking the oils, was yawning and got into a trance. While I was there and asked her about how her horse feels in the herd, everything became clear. She is the lowest in rank in the herd of five. So nice to see that the pendulum was right. I also just got a message today from my friend, to let me know that the horse is clearly feeling better. Makes me very HAPPY!!!

Love when that happens! And so great that you trusted and went with it. Also shows the importance of addressing emotional state to clear up skin problems 🙂

It sure is. The horse also had a lot of hard nodudles in her ears and they also got better. 🙂
