Vitamin e is an anti-oxidant that can extend the shelf life of oil based products, natural vit e works better than synthetic. Percentage needed will depend on other ingredients. Anything more specific you need?

Sorry it was a bit of a vague question wasn’t it?! I was looking for info on amount to add in particular. Thanks Nayana 😊

Vit e does that to a person 🙂 The other factor in quantity is the strength of the vit e you have. It can be anywhere from 1 – 10 ml per 100. Best to check with supplier 🙂

Nayana, are there any other characteristics of vitamin E I should pay attention on when buying, besides being oily, natural and the percentage?
What about rosemary resin oil? Is it safe to use with animals? I use it a lot to extend shelf life of my base oils.

Mixed tocopherols, is another “good” thing with vit e. Rosemary is ok for products, not harmful, But it will throw of the self-selection a bit if used in your base oils I think.
